Beaches Turks & Caicos Caribbean Village Review

In our latest stay at Beaches Turks & Caicos, our accommodations were at the Caribbean Village. We had an amazing time and loved the location of the room and the village.

The Caribbean village has a lively vibe with easy access to the beach and watersports activities. There are also a selection of restaurants and bars, many with outdoor areas, as well as pools.

In this review, we’ll tell you everything you need to know before booking a room at the Caribbean Village at Beaches Turks & Caicos.

Beaches Turks & Caicos Caribbean Village Restaurants & Bars

The Caribbean Village has six restaurants, serving a variety of food types. Some are casual and some are nicer. All have outdoor seating.

The Turks & Caicos Caribbean Village restaurants are:

  • Arizona’s: Southwestern, served buffet style for lunch and a la carte for dinner. This was our go to place for lunch.
  • Reflections: International and local food was served buffet style for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We enjoyed the made-to-order entrées for breakfast and lunch.
  • Sapodilla’s: Caribbean cuisine, in a nice atmosphere; for ages 12 and up; dinner only
  • Schooner’s: Seafood for dinner plus an a la carte breakfast
  • Bella Napoli: brick oven pizza; open during the day; make sure to order a little bit early since the wait can easily be an hour for pizzas.
  • The Jerk Shack: Caribbean jerk; open during the day; outdoor seating only

There are several bars as well: a swim-up bar in the Cascades Pool, a bar inside Arizona’s restaurant, Turtles Bar in the main lobby of the village, and a bar by the Iguana pool.

Amenities, Activities, and Entertainment

In addition to easy access to the beach and all of the complimentary watersports, you’ll find a basketball court and shuffleboard in the Caribbean Village. At night, there is live music in front of Schooner’s restaurant.

Along the beach, there are gazebos with seating and a boardwalk.

This village is also near the Kids Camp.

The Caribbean Village Pools

This area has two pools: the Cascades Pool and the Iguana Pool. The L-shaped Cascades pool is large and has a swim-up bar, a waterfall and cave, a whirlpool, and plenty of lounge chairs.

The Iguana pool has a volleyball net and an active vibe, and tends to be popular with younger guests.

We spent our first day near the Cascades pool. We loved how close it was to the Arizona’s Restaurant and that it has a swim-up pool. Its also is just steps from the ocean so we liked being able to go over there easily as well.

The Caribbean Village Beach

After our first day at the resort we spent the rest of the time at the beach. The waters here are calm, shallow, and warm, ideal for swimming, wading, or just floating the day away. The sand is powdery soft and bright white, and the vivid turquoise of the ocean looks like something straight out of a postcard.

Its also a good idea to bring snorkeling equipment. We saw all sorts of fish and other marine life from the shore. One afternoon, we were just chatting in the water, and a sting ray came by. The water is so clear we could see him lying in the sand a few feet away.

Our time at the beach here created so many great memories and we can’t wait to go back.

Turks & Caicos Caribbean Village Rooms

The oldest section of Beaches Turks & Caicos, Caribbean Village features a mix of smaller, more affordable rooms and luxury butler suites (which come with personal butler service and 24-hour in-room dining). All of the rooms have private patios or balconies, and most have garden and/or pool views.

The butler suites also have partial ocean views, and they are found in the Seaside Village, which is what they call the part of the Caribbean Village that is closest to the beach. This area was renovated in 2021. It also contains concierge level rooms, which have garden views and come with concierge and room service.

Affordable rooms include deluxe double rooms with private patios and two double beds plus a single sleep chair. The smallest rooms in the area, they can accommodate up to 4 people.

Luxury rooms include penthouse butler suites and two-bedroom luxury butler suites with partial ocean views. The largest suite in the Turks & Caicos Caribbean Village can fit up to 8 people; this is the Seaside Two Bedroom Luxury Butler Villa Suite, and it features one bedroom with a king bed, one bedroom with two double beds, two bathrooms, a living area with a double pull-out sofa, a kitchenette with a microwave, and a private walkout patio. These come with personal butler service and 24-hour in-room dining.

Nearby the Caribbean Village

One of the main reasons we like the Caribbean Village is not just the village but the nearby amenities as well.

The French Village

Just a short walk from the Caribbean Village, the French Village offers a completely different vibe with great amenities. Our most frequent trip to the French Village was to go to Café de Paris where we would get iced caramel lattes and other tasty treats like the banana bread. There is also a large pool here that is quieter than the ones in the Caribbean village.

In the evening, you’ll find the French restaurant, Soy, and Kimonos here as well as a stage with nightly entertainment and a spa.

The Water Park

Right next to the French Villiage is the Pirates Island Waterpark. It includes waterslides, a lazy river, a surf simulator, water cannons, and a kid-friendly swim-up bar. It’s one of the biggest highlights of the entire resort, and being just a few minutes away makes spontaneous splash sessions super convenient.

We would go for about half an hour a couple of times a day. Also at the Water Park is the Mac & Cheese food truck, a frozen yogurt truck, and Bobby Dee’s which is a diner with ice cream, burgers, hot dogs and things like that.

The Upcoming Treasure Beach

One of the most exciting additions to the resort is Treasure Beach, a new area currently being developed near the Caribbean Village. It promises to add even more dining, activities, and accommodations that blend seamlessly with the tropical beauty of Grace Bay. With features like an open-air lobby, oceanview suites, a 32-seat cinema, and a 15,000-square-foot infinity-edge pool, this expansion is set to become a major highlight—and you’ll be right next door when it opens.

The Italian Village

The Italian Village has the largest pool on the property and is also home to many of the resort’s most popular restaurants, like Mario’s, which offers an international buffet with Italian flair. It’s a great spot for both daytime fun and evening dining.

This is also where some new updates have happened, including a new coffee shop and frozen yogurt spot.
