Beaches Turks & Caicos Review: Our Honest Advice

If you are like us, you have been considering a vacation to Beaches Turks & Caicos and wondering it is really as great as you hear it is. Is it worth the cost? We have been to Beaches Turks & Caicos twice and have another trip booked. In this article, we will be reviewing the resort to help you decide.

Skip Ahead

Pros

Let’s start with the good, because there’s a lot of it.

  • The beach is every bit as dreamy as the photos and makes the entire trip worth it. This is where we made so many memories.
  • The kids’ club and Sesame Street programming are top-notch making it a perfect family getaway. Its so great to spend time as a family, but also have adult time with everyone out doing their own thing as well.
  • So many dining options, and no one went hungry (or bored). With everything included you don’t have to worry about what your child is ordering around the resort. They have access to so many snacks and meals around the resort.
  • Multiple pools are near all of the suites.
  • It’s genuinely relaxing for both kids and adults.

Cons

But of course, no place is perfect.

  • It’s pricey. Very pricey. This is the biggest issue that keeps people from deciding to book a room at the resort.
  • Some rooms in older villages feel a bit dated.
  • A few restaurants had long waits.
  • The resort is huge so you’ll do a lot of walking and the area close to your room is where you will likely spend a lot of time.

That said, none of these were deal-breakers for us. Just good to know ahead of time.

Where Is Beaches Turks & Caicos Located?

Beaches Turks & Caicos is located on Providenciales, one of the most beautiful islands in the Turks and Caicos archipelago. Known for its powdery white sand and crystal-clear waters, Grace Bay Beach serves as the perfect backdrop for this tropical haven.

The resort’s prime location makes it a convenient getaway for travelers from all over. It’s just a short flight from major hubs in the U.S., providing easy access to a slice of paradise. The island’s friendly locals and safe environment further enhance its appeal, making it an ideal choice for families seeking a carefree vacation.

How Far Is It From The East Coast?

If you’re based on the East Coast, you’re in luck! Beaches Turks & Caicos is only a quick 3-hour flight from cities like Miami, New York, and Orlando. This proximity makes it an accessible weekend getaway or a longer holiday destination without the stress of extensive travel.

The short travel time means less hassle and more time enjoying the beach, indulging in delicious food, and creating cherished memories with your loved ones. Direct flights are available from several major airports, so you can start your vacation almost as soon as you leave home.

For those considering the environmental impact, direct flights are often more eco-friendly, and Beaches Turks & Caicos is committed to sustainability, making your vacation both enjoyable and responsible.

If you are from the West Coast or other areas, I absolutely recommend flying into Miami or Charlotte the night before so you can be rested and not have the stress of missing a connection.

First Impressions: Arrival & Check-In

When we pulled up to the resort, the first thing I noticed was the lush landscaping and open-air lobby. It felt more like a luxury estate than a mega-resort. We were greeted with cool towels and rum punch (juice for the kids), and our luggage was whisked away.

Because we had a concierge-level suite, we checked in at a private desk. Our concierge walked us through the app (yes, there’s a Beaches app—very handy) and confirmed our dinner reservations. It was seamless and personal.

Then we got our room keys, hopped in a golf cart, and the adventure really began.

Let’s Talk About The Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort

Beaches Turks & Caicos is more than a resort; it’s a world unto itself, featuring five unique villages, each with its distinct charm and ambiance.

The Caribbean Village

The Caribbean Village instantly made me feel like I was truly in the islands. It’s full of vibrant colors, swaying palm trees, and winding garden paths that feel more like a tropical retreat than a resort.

This is one of the original areas of Beaches Turks & Caicos, and it has a charming, laid-back vibe that felt authentic and unpretentious. Our walks through the village were always scenic, thanks to the lush landscaping and blooming flowers everywhere.

It’s also steps from the beach, and many rooms offer easy access to both the shore and restaurants like Schooners. If you want a classic island experience, the Caribbean Village nails it.

Set back from the beach but close to the Pirates Island Waterpark, the French Village feels a little quieter and relaxed. Even though it’s not beachfront, I found the pool here to be one of the prettiest and most peaceful in the whole resort. It’s a great value, especially for families who plan to spend most of their time at the waterpark or roaming around the resort. And let’s not forget—it’s home to Café de Paris, the resort’s beloved French pastry and coffee shop.

The main pool here is huge and lively, with music, games, and a swim-up bar where our kids loved ordering smoothies. It’s centrally located, so we were never far from the beach, restaurants, or the kids’ club. If you want convenience without sacrificing luxury, the Italian Village is a fantastic choice.

The Key West Village

The Key West Village has a totally different energy. It feels more like a boutique resort than part of a larger property, with multi-bedroom suites, villas, and even beachfront townhomes. Many rooms come with kitchens you wont use and laundry, making it ideal for longer stays or multigenerational trips.

It’s also the quietest area on property, and I loved the tucked-away adults-only pool that felt like a private retreat.

The Seaside Village

Most people combine the Seaside Village when they talk about the Caribbean Village since the Seaside Village is nestled inside of it. The bungalow-style rooms here are some of the closest to the sand, making it easy to wake up and walk straight out to the beach. While the interiors are more traditional, the location makes up for it. Seaside Village is hard to beat. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and perfect for couples or smaller families.

The Restaurants At Beaches Turks & Caicos

At Beaches Turks & Caicos, there are 21 restaurants giving plenty of options like seafood, Italian, or spicy Caribbean food, you’ll always find something for you and even picky eaters.

Here are some of our favorites:

  • Soy – Yes, there’s a sushi restaurant at an all-inclusive family resort. It’s a great way for kids to experience sushi without worrying about paying for something they won’t eat. Pro tip: go early or right at opening to avoid a wait.
  • Kimonos – This hibachi-style restaurant is loud, fun, and interactive—perfect for kids. Our chef put on a show with flying shrimp, volcano onions, and even a sing-along.
  • Barefoot by the Sea – This one was my favorite for lunch and breakfast. There’s something magical about sitting with your toes in the sand while enjoying fresh fish tacos and a tropical drink. The boys loved the grilled chicken and French fries, and we loved the ocean breeze.
  • Mr. Mac (Food Truck) – Gourmet mac and cheese in a dozen variations? Say no more. The boys could’ve eaten here every single day. Honestly, so could I.
  • Bella Napoli – Located near the pool, this pizza spot turned into our unofficial lunch stop when we didn’t want to leave our loungers. Freshly baked, thin-crust pizzas with plenty of kid-friendly (and grown-up) toppings made everyone happy. Make sure to order ready for a wait.
  • Café de Paris – A little coffee and pastry shop where you can enjoy iced lattes.
  • Sapodilla’s: Delight in gourmet French cuisine in an elegant setting.
  • Schooners: Savor the freshest seafood right by the beach.
  • Mario’s: Italian dining that offers an amazing salad bar to add to your meal experience.
  • Cricketeers Pub: Delicious pub style dining and the perfect place to catch a game.

I have to say that the pub is the perfect place for a night cap, and a great place to meet up with new friends!

Dining as a Family (Without the Stress)

One thing we wondered about was the number of sit-down restaurants, if the kids would be an issue. We navigated this by going to some buffets and Kimonos that were more interesting for the kids, and then only went to a few a la carte meals.

Two nights our kids ended up dining with some of their new friends which is great for older kids.

If you’re traveling with dietary restrictions, Beaches does a great job of providing clearly labeled menus. We saw several options marked as dairy-free and vegetarian, and we were told to speak with the Executive Chef if we had specific concerns. The staff is very used to working with allergies and food sensitivities.

We had one picky eater in our group and every restaurant had something for them.

These activities are not only thrilling but also provide opportunities for learning and bonding with family members, creating memories that will last a lifetime. The water here is absolutely breathtaking, and pictures cannot capture the incredible ocean blues you will find at this resort.

With so much fun packed into one area, the waterpark is a highlight of any family’s stay, offering hours of entertainment and joy. I can say, I spent A LOT of time just floating around the lazy river on the day we spent at the waterpark.

And make sure you grab a sweet treat from the Curls & Swirls truck located right in the water park. Absolutely adorable and absolutely delicious!

When we spent our days in the Caribbean village we would stop by the waterpark for an hour our or so each day.

The beach at Beaches Turks & Caicos is nothing short of spectacular, situated along the world-renowned Grace Bay Beach.
